Surrogacy in Georgia provides intended parents with a number of choices, such as frozen embryo shipping, own egg surrogacy, and egg donation surrogacy. Programs such as live-birth egg donation and even surrogacy for HIV patients are available; however, the latter may come with an extra charge. According to Georgia's 1997 legal framework, only the names of the intended parents are listed on the birth certificate, which is issued within ten to fifteen days. Eligible couples must be in a committed relationship for at least a year, and one parent must have a biological relationship. Insurance for surrogates and babies is also available since 2022.
